Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician now faces charges for committing assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
These allegations come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
