Iranian Forces State Attack on American Facility in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.

Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and continuing attack targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity near the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is not yet known and the United States has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their air space.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted areas linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the government.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses engaged the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a series of missiles," it added.

The statement noted missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
