Los Angeles experienced widespread celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Supporters across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.

Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout

Local celebrations featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.

Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.

The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year showed equal or greater support.

“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
